Respect the Notesmaster Community

We're not asking for the kind of respect you show your parents. We mean respect the site and its intentions. There are plenty of other websites where you can go and mess around. Notesmaster is designed to be a serious work tool so go away and play but come here to study. Notesmaster involves a certain level of trust. We trust you to be responsible and our users respect that trust, so please be one of them.

We Review Posts and Images Flagged As Inappropriate

All content must be deemed safe to enter a classroom. If it isn’t then please don’t bring it here. When anything gets flagged as inappropriate, we review it and take a quick judgement. We reference our Terms of Use and once made that judgement is final; we have moved on. If we removed your post after reviewing it, you can assume that we removed it purposefully, and you should take our warning notification seriously. This is a community featuring the young and old; we take all breaches of our guidelines seriously and offer only 1 second chance. We will block users and IP addresses if needs be.

Don't Cross the Line

Here are some common-sense rules that will help you steer clear of trouble:

  • Notesmaster is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your intentions don't post it on Notesmaster. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation. Please read our Safety Tips and stay safe on Notesmaster.
  • Don't post rude or offence text about fellow classmates or school teachers. WE WILL notify your school of your behaviour.
  • ANY BULLYING OF ANY MEMBER WILL RESULT IN NO SECOND CHANCE AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE BEING REPORTED TO THEIR SCHOOL AND IF NEEDS BE, THE LAW.
  • Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your image or text portrays this out of context then don't post it.
  • Notesmaster is not a shock site. Don't post, email, share gross-out assignments or SBA’s.
  • Respect copyright. Only upload stuff that you have made or that you are authorized to use. This means don't upload assignments or SBA’s you didn't write, or use content in your work that someone else owns the copyright to.
  • We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).
  • There is zero tolerance for predatory behaviour, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other members' personal information. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from Notesmaster.
  • Everyone hates spam. Do not create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views. It's not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.

Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. Don't try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer your way around them—just understand them and try to respect the spirit in which they were created. Violations of the Terms of Use may result in a warning notification or may result in termination of your account and deletion of all your work. We decide whether we believe your violation of our Terms of Use should result in termination of your account. If you have an account terminated you are prohibited from ever signing up for another account!
